3 Types of Gas Geysers
Battery Operated Entry Level
Constant Temperature Battery
Fan Forced 220V Top of the Range

Requires 2 x Type D batteries for ignition, adds roughly 30 to 35 degrees on top of your incoming cold water supply. Pros are price of the unit as these units vary from R2500 – R6000 depending on the size. These units are very sensitive to fluctuation water pressure & the Unit will switch off if the pressure drops. These units cannot be used in a home that uses Mixer taps, they cannot supply a hot water tap in a double storey house (Upstairs) and have a limit of about 10 meters distance to the furthest tap. These units do not regulate gas, so this would have to be manually regulated on the geyser along with the water pressure to get the desired result.
Requires 2 x Type D batteries for Ignition. A constant specific temperature can be set on the geyser, these units would regulate the gas supply according to the water flow demand, thereby making it around 80% more efficient and cost effective. These Units work fine on mixers as a constant temperature can be set so that the mixer can remain on the full hot side, thereby not wasting cold water to get the temperature down. 2 hot water points can be used simultaneously. These units retail from R7000 – R10000.
Fan Forced units require 220V AC to control the computer electronics. These units regulate the incoming water as well as the gas needed to get the desired temperature, thereby it is the most cost effective type of unit on the market (saving Gas and water). Thee units have additional features such as Anti freeze in winter, Heavy duty Copper radiators, automatic self diagnosis, flame failure device. These units work 100% with Mixers and can supply multiple hot points spread across the home (Upstairs & downstairs). These units are 88% energy efficient and are compatible with Inverters for Back up. These units range from R12000 – R30000
